I can’t believe it took me 6 months to make this ice box cake ! I had actually drafted this recipe after looking at the surplus heavy cream lying in my refrigerator after baking the decadent tres leches cake ! Well if you’ve had tres leches cake before , you sure know how rich and indulgent it is ! Jalapeno shooters


Jalape├▒o shooters or jalapeno poppers, what’s in a name, eh? This spicy and cheesy delight ┬áis an absolute treat if spicy food pleases your palate. I first had these at Longhorn steakhouse, and thought it was so much like an Indian pakora ( fritters) and oh so yum! Most Indian fritters are coated with a chickpea batter though! ┬áI was mighty impressed with the way it way presented.┬áThat inspired me to shoot some of my pictures in a similar manner. Meatloaf muffin with ketchup-brown sugar glaze


So today we decided on having something American for lunch, and what better than the classic meatloaf accompanied with sour cream mashed potatoes, perhaps one of America’s most loved comfort foods ! I think these muffin sized meat loaves are perfect size for individual serving , and I think they look cute too!! I’ve added an Indian touch to these muffin meat loaves with the addition of Kashmiri chilly powder, ginger , garlic and cilantro, some of the big guns of Indian cuisine . The brown sugar tomato glaze balances the little heat in the meatloaf. Continue reading →
